Blade Fencing KL was launched at the beginning of January 2013. Fueled with pure passion and the love for the sport, Blade Kuala Lumpur is now over 120 members strong, and growing. Over the years, our fencers have garnered some respectable results on the international stage.
Our centre is in Centrepoint, Bandar Utama. Our 14 strip facility is currently the largest in Malaysia, quite possibly in South-East Asia. The club also has gym & weight equipment, a study room, a lounge, armory room, prayer room & lavatory.
Blade KL's coaches are some of the most experienced and successful coaches/ex fencers in this region. While we focus mainly on fencing, our philosophy is that, no fencer can ever be successful without having the right attitude and discipline. We pride ourselves not only as fencing coaches, but as dedicated teachers who truly care for our students’ athletic progress, along with their character development through the sport of fencing. We are known to be the club that distinguish ourselves by paying great attention to detail for every single one of our students, from national team members to novices.
In the recent 2019 SEA Games, 9 out of 20 of the fencers were from Blade KL. More importantly, Blade KL contributed all the fencing medals for Malaysia
2 Silver Medals: Hans Yoong (Men's Foil Individual) & Joshua Koh (Men's Epee Individual)
1 Bronze Medal : Hans Yoong, Tristan Cheng, Hydheer Natakusuma, Adam Tahir (Men's Foil Team)
